INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS




ACTA ENDOSCOPICA publishes papers concerning endoscopy, at the request of their authors or of the board of the recognised societies. A review board assesses every submission and either accept the text, refuse it or ask for some modifications.

Please submit three copies of the manuscript, including text pages, references, legends to figures, tables, and glossy print figures. The contributors should submit a copy of thier manuscript on microcomputer diskette indicating the software used.

Presentation of manuscripts:

The articles will be published in 2 languages: English and French

- Title page and authors :

This page should include : the name(s) of author(s), including the first name(s); the name of the department and institution in which the work was carried out; the name and address of the author to whom the gallery proofs should be sent for correction and reprint requests should be addressed.

- Abstract page and key words:

A summary in the two languages is requested.

Three to ten key words should be added using terms from the Medical Subject Heading list in the Index Medicus.

- Presentation:

References :

References should be numbered following the order they are first quoted.

Every reference should include : author's names and initials. Title of article in its original language. Name of the journal (abbreviations according to Index Medicus), year of publication, volume, inclusive pages.

Illustrations :

Colour photographs must only be original slides of professional quality, and never reproductions. These documents will be sent back to their authors as soon as the article is published. However we ask the authors to send only indispensable slides.

X-rays, diagrams and graphs must be submitted ready for photography.

All documents should be identified on the back with the author's name, the title of the article, the order and the location in the article, a clear and concise legend in 2 languages, type and characteristics of the material used (endoscope, film, etc.).
